ENROLLMENT & VERIFICATION BEGINS AUGUST 1, 2023
Every student attending FWPS in the 2023-24 school year should enroll online or complete the annual verification process before the first day of school
REMINDER: EARLY RELEASE EVERY FRIDAY
Early release days have moved to Fridays and schools are let out 75 minutes early every Friday there is school beginning Sept. 15

WHO WE ARE
Twin Lakes Elementary, located in Federal Way’s Twin Lakes neighborhood, serves scholars in grades K-5. Our mission is to collaborate and listen to students, families, staff and the community to engage and grow in a safe, inclusive learning environment where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered. We are deeply committed to this mission and stretching to learn, understand, and challenge practices as we continue to learn and develop as an anti-racist school community. Scholars also benefit from an array of school activities, clubs, and strong family, PTA, and community partnerships.

September 15 marks the start of National Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, a time our district and schools recognize the contributions, achievements, histories, and celebrate the many diverse cultures of people of Hispanic or Latinx ancestry who come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

The 2023-24 school year successfully kicked off on Wednesday, August 30, and it was a joy to see scholars pour into our buildings excited for the year ahead. Learn what's happened so far and what some students hope for the year.

On Thursday, August 17, Federal Way Public Schools hosted the fourth annual New to FWPS Breakfast at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Events Center, to give over 170 new certificated staff members a warm Federal Way welcome!
