School Improvement Plan

SMARTIE Goal #1 (MATH)

Based on Spring 2024 Math i-Ready diagnostic data, 45% of K-5 scholars at Twin Lakes were on or above grade level proficiency.  In partnership with our staff, scholar advisory, and family advisory, 60% of K-5 scholars will be on or above grade level proficiency on the i-Ready Math diagnostic by Spring 2025.  On the 2024 Math SBA, 20% of Hispanic/Latino scholars met or exceeded grade level proficiency; by 2025, in partnership with our staff, scholar advisory, and family advisory, this number will increase to 40% or higher.

SMARTIE Goal #2 (ELA)

Based on Spring 2024 ELA i-Ready diagnostic data, 57% of K-5 scholars at Twin Lakes were on or above grade level proficiency.  By Spring 2025, in partnership with our staff, scholar advisory, and family advisory, 75% of K-5 scholars will be on or above grade level proficiency on the i-Ready ELA diagnostic.  On the 2024 ELA SBA, 30% of Hispanic/Latino scholars met or exceeded grade level proficiency; by 2025, in partnership with our staff, scholar advisory, and family advisory, this number will increase to 50% or higher.

SMARTIE Goal #3 (Whole Child)

In partnership with staff, scholar advisory, and family advisory, there will be an increase of favorable student responses to the Panorama survey question, “How much respect do the students at your school show you?” from 59% in Spring 2024 to 66% in Spring 2025 as measured by the Panorama survey; Hispanic scholars reporting favorably on this question will increase from 57% (Spring 2024) to 66% by Spring 2025 as measured by Panorama survey.
Aligned Signature Strategy(ies)

Goal 1

Teaching and learning behaviors reflect anti-racist and culturally responsive instructional practices (i.e. UDL/SIOP strategies) and norms aligned to the instructional framework and systemwide guaranteed and viable curriculum. (D and S)

Utilize classroom-based and district progress monitoring through formative, interim, and summative assessments to inform and adjust instruction in real time, to support scholar self-assessment, goal setting, and monitoring progress toward goals and to report and communicate to scholars and families each scholar’s progress towards meeting standards. (D and S)

Goal 2

Utilize data collection and reporting systems to increase the effective use of standards, cohort, growth, and equity data to drive instructional decisions at the district, school, classroom, and student levels. (D and S)

Implement a multi-tiered system of support using a databased decision-making model to support meeting the needs of scholars academic and social emotional needs across all three tiers. (D and S)

Goal 3

Design, implement, and monitor a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to adhere and respond to academic and social-emotional needs of students toward mastery of core subjects. (D and S)
